Star Wars Galaxies Credits are perhaps one of the hardest currencies in an MMORPG to gain depending on your character career.

Traders have the easiest way of obtaining credits in game, as they buy and re-sell much needed supplies that make the whole galaxy go round. With the career choice of a Trader comes a lot of responsibility, you must keep track of a lot of things in order to keep the credits flowing as a trader.

It can be difficult for an Entertainer to rack up credits quickly, as a lot of their credits are based on tips. A lot of players think that grinding experience while away from keyboard is a great way to earn a living, it is not. Many other players will not tip an away from keyboard entertainer mostly because they do not wish to wait on you to get back. When grinding that precious experience, make sure to stay near your computer, and respond to requests from other players.

As a Commando, Jedi, or Bounty Hunter, Medic, Officer, Smuggler, or Spy, all you have to do is be careful with your expenses, and complete missions where ever your travels take you. In addition to your missions, you can find a few NPC's that will be very much willing to part with Exceptional Loot after a good solid beating with a lightsaber or blaster. Don't forget to visit terminals to gain faction reputation with the Empire or Rebels!

In addition to those careers stated above (which are known as 'ground' careers), you may also become a Pilot and Politician.

Learning to use the Bazaar Terminals and Secure Trade will be very important to your success when selling anything but junk to a Junk Vendor. The forums offer advice and rules of thumb to help you successfully buy and sell items within the Bazaar (Auction House).  Secure Trade is a way to buy, sell, or trade items with other players. Make sure to /log the conversation when making a deal with another player, thus ensuring that a GM can enforce or reverse the trade if one party does not meet it's promises, especially when buying containers with promises of certain goods, or doing “I'll gladly pay you on tuesday for a hamburger today” deals.
