World of Warcraft Power Leveling - No More Grinding

World of Warcraft starts off as initially a level grinding game. Depending on when you join in, the road from level one to level cap can be a long, at times tedious experience. The journey from being a starting area character to a capped out character is what can either keep a person interested in World of Warcraft or quitting.

 

It all depends on how one levels. Some level casually with friends and are more into the social aspect of the game. But many simply go at it alone and get discouraged at the amount of leveling required. But leveling alone can be less painful, as long as you go into it with a plan. Grinding can be efficient, and can despite the time invested gain levels and cash in the process. There are three ways to go about this: grinding off mobs, off of quests, and off of constant instance running.

 

So put on the music, have a few snacks, and put aside a few hours and prepare for the grind.

 

Guilds are the new power level machines.

With the inclusion of guild 'leveling' in Cataclysm, many have used the experience increases to outright speed a character's experience gain. Add that onto gaining access to heirloom gear from guild specific vendors, guilds themselves are a way to power level.

 

Instance with a high level.

Asking that high level guildie of yours to run an at level (or above level) for you is also a form of wow power leveling. Unlike in twinking where a under leveled alt sits towards the entrance to avoid gaining experience, a high level will normally run in and gather many mobs while the lower level hangs back not attacking until the high level has all threat.

 

The low level would be say a room away while the mass farm happens so that they can then leech the experience and have rights to roll on the item drops. This tactic can also be used in killing mobs outside of instances.

 

Kill mobs in groups efficiently with friends in high places.

Normally in farming mobs along, one goes for green wow power level mobs because of the easier time in killing them. But if you have a high leveled friend, one can by pass this by grouping with and having the high level area of effect higher leveled red mobs, netting a low level lots of experience in a shorter amount of time. Doing this while questing will net the high level things to sell, and you faster quest completion alongside the experience gain.
 

Fangs of the Father - Legendaries for the WOW

Fangs of the Father are a pair of legendary daggers for rogues, rewarded by the quest Patricide that contains 2 pieces.

Tiriosh, Nightmare of Ages

 

2 pieces: Your melee attacks have a chance to grant Shadows of the Destroyer, increasing your Agility by 17, stacking up to 50 times. Each application past 30 grants an increasing chance to trigger Fury of the Destroyer. When triggered, this consumes all applications of Shadows of the Destroyer, immediately granting 5 combo points and cause your finishing moves to generate 5 combo points. Lasts 6 sec.


It's very hard to imagine a Cataclysm without legendary items. Despite the fact that it wasn't introduced until six months into the game's existence, Dragonwrath, Tarecgosa's Rest has become a staple item in every progression raiding guild's repetoire. The Fangs of the Father, Golad and Tiriosh, have only recently started to actually appear in game, but every week from now on will see more and more being finished.

 

Coming hand in hand with these legendary items are the issues of imbalance that they cause. In PvE, terminology has started to crop up that puts legendary and non-legendary DPS into two separate categories of competitiveness. Concepts exist such as "enhancement shaman are currently one of the top non-legendary DPS specs..." -- a category that encompasses only 10 of the 22 DPS classes in the game. In PvP, concerns about burst damage have arisen, which was a big factor in the nerf to DTR that came in 4.3.


Patch 4.3 for Fangs of the Father will offer the most deadly and experienced rogues the opportunity to finally play a central role in the fate of the world the rogue’s way: by manipulating key events from the shadows. Players will travel across continents to accomplish crucial missions of reconnaissance, burglary, infiltration and, of course, assassination. Those familiar with the events that unfolded in the Badlands since the Cataclysm struck may recall the story of Rheastrasza, the ambitious red dragon who acquired a black dragon egg and magically purified it, cleansing it of the Black Dragonflight’s corruption. While those events may lead to a more hopeful destiny for Azeroth, it will take cleverness, stealth, skill, and the help of a few friends to unravel the web of intrigue that will reveal what became of the egg… and determine the fate of Deathwing himself.


Rogues willing to do whatever is necessary to ignite a brighter future must first delve into the Dragon’s Soul raid dungeon to begin the quest line. Those who prove their prowess within will be set on a collision course with Ravenholdt Manor and the enigmatic Black Prince, Wrathion. This shadowy figure could be the key to victory for the mortal races, but what is his true agenda? Before the truth behind these mysteries are revealed, enterprising assassins will need to fight tense raid battles against Deathwing’s most powerful minions, and embark alone on perilous missions to seal the fate of the Black Dragonflight. The quest culminates in the earth-scorching execution of Deathwing himself and a shocking revelation about the true nature of the mission.

 

Rogues who succeed will receive a paired set of daggers that will become increasingly lethal as their bearer progresses along the legendary quest. At the height of their strength, they will be imbued with the vile essence of the Old Gods, as well as the maddened fury of the Black Dragonflight -- bestowing great power upon their bearer. These powers include a stacking increase to Agility which builds until dark wings unfurl from the rogue’s back, removing the combo point cost and increasing damage of finishing moves for a short time. In addition, the wings which can be spread on command (with no combat benefit) to slow a rapid descent, allowing the rogue to slowly fall to the ground… or enact a little death from above! When it comes to dealing death, the Fangs of the Father promise legendary killing power to rogues of any specialization.
